	PhotoPlus ‘Optical quality proved excellent throughout the zoom range in our tests, with minimal distortion or aberrations. Better still, and unlike the Canon 100-400mm lens, the focus ring is situated at the rear end of the lens within much easier reach throughout the zoom range. For the price, Sigma has come up with an absolute cracker with this lens.’

Thankfully, due to the effectiveness of the OS technology, this is a lens you can confidently use handheld at two or three stops slower than would otherwise be possible. In fact, its performance and image quality impressed me to the degree that I decided to buy one. In particular, its close-focusing ability and OS technology suits my needs perfectly. It is also very competitively priced. It represents great value for money, which is welcome news at a time when many photographers need to spend their budget with care.’
