Sigma 18mm F3.5 Price reductions – November 1995

Sigma, ever at the forefront of lens technology and innovation, are pushing out the boundaries even further. Not too many years ago anything wider than a 28mm lens was considered to be in grave danger of producing distortion, fall-off and colour fringing. Several years ago Sigma made a conscious effort to promote their beautifully corrected 24mm lens as a viable alternative and this became the standard wide angle lens.
Today, with the advancement of Aspherical lens technology Sigma have managed to produce a light, compact 18mm f3.5 ultra wide angle lens which enables the photographer to get a completely different view of the world.
The Sigma 18mm lens has a huge angle of view (100°) which can open up all kinds of possibilities for producing dramatic images.
Sigma’s lens design produces excellent optical results with sharp, well-corrected images. Flare and vignetting are taken care of by Sigma’s multi-coating and bayonet fitting lens hood (supplied free with the lens).
To ensure that this focal length really holds no fears for the photographer Sigma have, for a limited period, slashed an amazing £150 from the retail price of the autofocus version!
Canon and Sigma autofocus fitting was £369.95 and is now only £219.95 whilst Minolta and Nikon AF fittings have been reduced from £339.95 to £179.95!
