Sigma 28-70mm F2.8-4 High Speed Zoom is one of several new products to be introduced at Photokina 2002 by Sigma Corporation of Japan (2-3-15, Iwado-Minami, Komae-shi, Tokyo, Japan).
Sigma 28-70mm F2.8-4 HIGH SPEED ZOOM standard zoom lens features a large aperture, light weight and compact dimensions.
At 28mm focal length this lens has a fast F2.8 maximum aperture. The tiny weight of 245g/8.6oz and length of 6cm/2.4in makes this very compact optic. This size and weight of this standard lens makes it very suitable for travel and general photography. This lens has a minimum focus distance of 50cm/19.7in at all focal lengths. It incorporates an aspherical lens element to minimize distortion. The lens materials used in this new lens are lead and arsenic free ecological glass.
