Regional Sales Manager position
About the role
Sigma is a leading manufacturer of premium cameras, lenses and photographic accessories. With headquarters and manufacturing in Japan, the UK subsidiary is responsible for the sales, marketing and servicing of Sigma products in the UK.
Working as part of a small team, you will be responsible for selling to our existing retail accounts and managing and developing these relationships within a given region, which includes central and northern England and Wales. Tasked to retain and develop the company’s existing accounts, you will build strong relationships with key stakeholders, champion our brand’s philosophy and help grow our market position. Duties also include maintaining retailer conditions from an agreed distribution contract, investigating new sales opportunities and assisting in our marketing communications when required.
The perfect candidate for this varied and exciting role is an excellent communicator who is proactive, highly motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team. Ideally they will have a passion for photography and a good working knowledge of the photo/imaging industry.
Key responsibilities
- Selling to retail accounts and managing agreed stock levels
- Visiting clients to maintain and build relationships
- Presenting at exhibitions, conferences and sales meetings
- Organising and attending in-store days and retailer events
- Ensuring retail staff maintains a good level of product knowledge
- Supporting the Marketing Department in delivering its marketing strategy
Travel and overnight stays are an essential part of the role and as such a full UK driving licence is required.
