Sigma is a leading manufacturer of premium cameras, lenses and photographic accessories. With headquarters and manufacturing in Japan, the UK subsidiary based in Welwyn Garden City in Hertfordshire is responsible for the sales, marketing and servicing of Sigma products in the UK.
Based in our Welwyn Garden City office, you’ll be working closely with the Media and Marketing Manager and within a small team. You will help communicate Sigma’s key marketing messages and help to develop its marketing strategy. This will involve creating and publishing engaging and informative digital content; agreeing and organising product loans with online and print tech reviewers and influencers, and building strong relationships in these areas; agreeing content briefs with influencers and guiding the production of that content; helping with video shoots in-studio and on location (both in front of and behind the camera); helping to keep Sigma UK’s website up-to-date; and performing other marketing-related administrative duties. You may also occasionally be required to help with UK and international shows and events.
The perfect candidate for this varied and exciting role is an organised and proactive person with a good knowledge of photography. They should be a good communicator, have a very good command of English and be able to produce engaging online content. Occasional travel and overnight stays are an essential part of the role and as such a full UK driving licence is required.
Previous experience in a marketing-related role
Ability to create engaging digital content
Strong understanding of key social platforms
Good working knowledge of photography
Highly motivated and organised
A good communicator who is able to build strong working relationships
Good command of written and spoken English
Good working knowledge of photography and video editing software, as well as Microsoft Office
Previous experience of web design (ideally WordPress) is desirable
